1. What is LPR?

LPR stands for License Plate Recognition. LPR recognizes alphanumeric and non-alphanumeric character in License Plates of both moving car and stationary car.

2. What hardware does the system require?

For a typical Mobile Eye for monitoring illegal parking application, the following parts are needed:
1 x Notebook Computer for recognition of vehicle license plate numbers and connect to remote database
1 x video camera with casing
1 x Light compensation Device

1 x Control Unit of Focusing and Aperture

For a typical car park management application, the following parts are needed:
1 x PC for LPR
1 x PC for database management
2 x video cameras with casing
2 x exposure devices for light compensation at night (fog, rain)
2 x Control Units of Focusing and Aperture

3. What is the price of SDK software/Module/Whole System?

Depends on needs and requirement, please query us

4. What platform does the system support?

Microsoft Windows System 2000 and above

5. How fast does the system recognize a license plate number?

Less than 0.4 per second in mainstream PC.

7. Can the system process images from multiple entrances / exits with only one computer?

Yes. But in this case, the response time may be slow if the speed of PC is not fast enough.

8. Which countries' plate formats can be recognition currently?

Till now, our system can recognize the plate formats of Singapore/Hong Kong/China/Korea/Japan. To recognize the other country's plate format, we need more information on its format by local technical/business partner.

9. Do you require sample images of overseas license plates for testing?

Yes. We need a lot of color images (or video) of the license plates; It should be taken at resolution 640*480, 25-30fps, which is our minimum requirement.
